There’s really only ONE month of summer left–can you believe it?! If you want to make the most of your limited time, have no fear: we’ve planned out three perfect summer days in Astoria. Choose which one is most up your alley–or get ideas for one-off activities from 50 Things to Do This Summer. It’s not over yet!

Plan 1: For the Urban Explorer

Start your day off with an early lunch picnic in Socrates Sculpture Park, located at 32-01 Vernon Blvd. Click here for all of the picnic specifics you need!

After you’ve eaten and lounged for a while, hop on the next Astoria Ferry just down the road at 3-10 Astoria Blvd. Sit on top for fantastic views and get off after two stops at Long Island City.

Snap some pics in the park, and then grab ice cream at the new Four Winters at 47-38 Vernon Blvd or drinks on the water at Blend (4540 Center Blvd). Then head to LIC Flea and Food (5-25 46th Ave) for some thrift shopping and any other bites you can stuff your face with!

End the day with the brew at Rockaway Brewing (46-01 5th St), and catch the next ferry home.

Plan 2: For the Well-Balanced New Yorker

Start with a healthy salad lunch at Liv Salad (31-86 37th St) or Create (36-03 30th Ave), because this is going to be a sugar-filled afternoon.

After you digest, head out on our very own Dessert Crawl of Astoria! From cookies to ice cream to doughnuts, you’ll be taking advantage of all the best summer treats. Might we suggest doing it on a Citibike, instead of walking?

End with live music at Crescent and Vine, The Let Love Inn or The Last Word, and a drink if you’re so inclined.

Plan 3: For the Early-ish Riser

Start out with a Bottomless Brunch at Mojave or Tru Astoria near the Ditmars area, or do “Mat + Mimosa” Yoga at The Ditty if it’s a Sunday (follow by food, of course)!

Then head down to Astoria Park (19 19th St) to get your tan on, and perhaps take a dip in the pool?

After you cool down and dry off, head over to Bubba’s Bistro (31-13 Ditmars Blvd) for Oyster Happy Hour. If you’re still on the move after that, end the night with a frosé at Vintage Wine Bar (2314 Ditmars Blvd).

Thanks for the recommendations! I definitely want to check out the live music at The Queens Room or Crescent and Vine!
