*ALL WEEKEND! The Philip K. Dick Film Festival: This week at the Museum of the Movie Image is the eighth annual Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival, featuring various features and short films. 36-01 35th Ave. March 4-8. More info here.

  • Do you LARP? (Live action role play): Join, also at the Museum of the Moving Image, The Dark Crystal’s Age of Resistance role-play game that will explore “the fantastical and sometimes terrifying stories of the planet Thra.” For visitors 16 and up, led by game designer Sharang Biswas and experimental theater artist Nick O’Leary. 36-01 35th Ave. 7pm. $25.   • Check out Lot-Less: A Lot-Less store, which replaced the Duane Reade at Broadway x Steinway, officially opened this week. People were lined out the door to get deals at this closeout-bargain specialist, so maybe you’ll beat the first-day rush this weekend!
  • And don’t miss this new delicious-looking LIC pop-up! 

Saturday, March 7

  • Pre-game for St. Paddy’s Day: Shillelagh Tavern is hosting their hilarious third annual “St. Practice Day” event, to help you practice for the rest of the raucous activities all month. Things will kick off at 7:30am for the Liverpool vs Bournemouth match, and then continue with green beer, jello shots, and green boozy marshmallows. $40 will get you a t-shirt and refillable cup to use all day, plus free buffet, drink specials and more! 47-22 30th Ave. 7:30am-?.   • Get your last winter cocktail in: The Highwater will be switching out their fall/winter cocktail menu so be sure to try their “Queens Apple Turnover” drink while there’s still a slight chill in the air.   • Watch the “funniest movie ever” with dinner and/or drinks: The Astorian is playing “Airplane” this weekend with trivia from Sauced Cinemas.
