A while back we confirmed that Bareburger is opening a new restaurant in the old Athens Cafe space. We’ve been in touch with folks at Bareburger and they were kind enough to share some current construction photos. We can’t wait to see what they have in store food-wise and what the new space will look like!

Hope this is something awesome that keeps the classic Astoria sidewalk-cafe vibe going. The neighborhood had a deep love-hate relationship with Athens and I think it’s very much missed!
