Thanks to those crazy cats on Reddit, we were turned onto this video on Bloomberg, Bareburger: The Organic Chain’s Ingredients for Success—a glimpse into the success of Bareburger, starting Euripides Pelakanos, CEO and Co-Founder of Bareburger.

A couple of interesting tidbits: the first restaurant, the one on 31st Ave, made its money back in 10 months. And they decided to franchise the business within 2 months of the original operation. Impressive!

Whaddaya trying to do kill us with this stuff? Ya might as well serve us lard on a bun. Do you really think saying organic is gonna make it better?

Yeah Susan, you got it right! Burger places, not to mention franchised burger places, just spread more junk in already fat world. We should all go vegan. My cousin is trying to open a soy burger chain in Astoria and would really love a space on 31st Ave…

Bareburger gets good support from the vegans and vegetarians I know because of the various meat-free offerings – and not just salads. I’m an omnivore myself, but am a fan of their vegan black bean burger. They also have a couple of additional vegan burgers. I think one of the reasons Bareburger does so well is that their menu has something for almost everyone, so the omnivores can eat peaceably with the vegans.
