Get ready for lots of family-friendly fun this Saturday, September 6 from 10:30 a.m to 1 p.m. The day will consist of farmers market themed activities: seed spitting contests, pin the corn on the stalk, wheel barrow races, and fun fitness challenges. If you finish with the most participatory points, you win a bouquet of corn! Mmm… corn… The Socrates Greenmarket will be running concurrently from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop by and find all sorts of delicious things, from seasonal produce from the Black Dirt region of Orange County, Mexican specialty produce from Richmond County, orchard fruit and juice, meat, poultry and eggs and multi-ethnic artisan breads. You may even catch a cooking demonstration. Of course, lovely waterfront views will be there to enjoy, and the park itself. Yoga and Tai Chi will be going on as well. See you there!
