New York City Bagel and Coffee House To Open New Broadway Location

 

Astoria will be getting a fourth New York City Bagel & Coffee House, or NYCBCH for short, in January 2019. The newest location will be at 29-10 Broadway, between 29th and 30th Streets, in the new 6-story building.

NYCBCH was founded in 2013 by John Loukas and Michael Lagoudis, opening its flagship location on 23rd Avenue. This was followed swiftly by a second location farther east on Broadway in 2015, near Steinway Street, and then by a third location on 30th Avenue in January 2018.

In the five years it’s been in Astoria, NYCBCH has become a staple for both commuters on the go and for folks who like to camp out with a laptop. All three locations are large spaces, with plenty of room for people to stay a while. The new Broadway location will be no different, and will be able to seat about 50 people.

Also like the other three locations, the Broadway shop will offer breakfast foods, soups, coffee drinks, beer on tap, and, of course, homemade bagels and all the spreads you could ever ask for. Their coffee is sourced from Brooklyn-based roaster Stone Street Coffee Company.

The new building will also house other street-level shops, and the floors above will be residential space, with 64 apartment units.

NYCBCH’s growth is certainly remarkable, and we’re sure folks in the Broadway area will be anxiously awaiting their new bagel spot!
