Reader Tip: The High Water Opening In Old Nazca Space

The new bar going into the old Nazca space is called The High Water.

A WHA reader sent us a couple of photos regarding the new spot opening up where Nazca (and before that, Cold Stone) was—looks like the place is going to be called The High Water. We reported in June that it would be a “tropical restaurant”; we’ve also heard the term “tiki bar” used in reference to this place.

They do have an Instagram account—@thehighwaternyc. They’re adding custom art, and have been working on developing their cocktails—this one, Hallet’s Revenge, looks pretty good (I personally love Tajin).

We are beyond honored to see our name in We Heart Astoria! All of us at the High Water are long time readers and huge fans. We hope that WHA will swing by one of these days soon to sample the Hallet’s Revenge (Created our talented master mixologist Gabriel).
