Summer Networking At the Aloft Hotel In LIC

Looking to meet other locals? Hoping to connect with other local business owners? Then come to the LIC Partnership’s Summer networking night this Thursday, July 27 from 5-7pm. There will be drinks and light bites, and a chance to meet all sorts of interesting people. We’ve been to their networking events in the past and they are a lot of fun!

On top of that, you’ll get to tour the Aloft Hotel (27-45 Jackson Avenue), which opened last Fall, so it’s relatively new. It’s a 74,000-square-foot, 18-story building with 176 rooms. According to an article in Commercial Property Executive, “The hotel will also house the colorful WXYZ bar, the Remix lounge, the Grab & Go snack bar, the Recharge gym, a pool, a 1,700-square-foot ground floor terrace and 1,500 square feet of meeting space.” And on the site there is something they used called “Botlr,” which is basically a robot that brings you stuff. Definitely see if you can catch a glimpse of it.
