Then come to the LIC Partnership’s Summer networking night this Thursday, July 27 from 5-7pm. There will be drinks and light bites, and a chance to meet all sorts of interesting people. We’ve been to their networking events in the past and they are a lot of fun! On top of that, you’ll get to tour the Aloft Hotel (27-45 Jackson Avenue), which opened last Fall, so it’s relatively new. It’s a 74,000-square-foot, 18-story building with 176 rooms. According to an article in Commercial Property Executive, “The hotel will also house the colorful WXYZ bar, the Remix lounge, the Grab & Go snack bar, the Recharge gym, a pool, a 1,700-square-foot ground floor terrace and 1,500 square feet of meeting space.” And on the site there is something they used called “Botlr,” which is basically a robot that brings you stuff. Definitely see if you can catch a glimpse of it. Tickets for the networking night are $15.90 for LIC Partnership members, $26.50 for everyone else. Register here.
