Back in April, we reported on the changes coming to 12-23 Astoria Boulevard, the former home of Astor Bake Shop. Astoria Provisions, sister restaurant to Astoria favorite Gastroteca, opens there tomorrow, July 28.

We asked if there was any update on their offerings. Here’s what John Parlatore told us last week:

“For the first four week we will be open 8am to 5pm daily serving coffee, pastries breakfast, lunch/brunch and cocktails. After that we will move into opening for dinner seven days a week serving American Bistro fare. We also will be churning out artisanal hand spun Ice cream of our own label.”

Some of the pastries we’ve seen are croissants, cinnamon buns, cloverleaf rolls, donuts, and more. There’s a crispy chicken sandwich that also looks good. Head over to their Instagram account for more ideas about what they’ll serve.

So stop on by tomorrow and check them out! We hope this will be a great addition to the western Astoria area.
