Meat and barbecue lovers, this one’s for you. A while back we wrote about Mothership Meat Company, a new barbecue spot opening up in Dutch Kills, brought to you by Josh Bowen of LIC’s John Brown Smokehouse. While Mothership is still putting it all together for the grand opening, there’s a pre-opening dinner in the works and you can get in on that action on the evening of Monday, August 22. Tickets are $60 + fee (The Queens Dinner Club, the organizers, will take your money) and dinner will be served at 27-20 40th Ave, the future location of Mothership Meat Company. Here’s what is on the menu for the evening: Mothership Meat Co. Signature Brisket with garam masala pepper rub Astoria Special Short Rib pastrami Yuzu Smoked Duck Smoked Whole Hog Slaw JB Cornbread Saffron Bread Pudding Josh Bowen will be there performing as part of the John Brown All Stars, too.
