On Tuesday and Wednesday, October 28 and 29, they are presenting a five-course meal with dishes thoughtfully paired with American ciders. Each dinner is $65, and that includes the cider! Here’s what the Kickshaw folks told us about the dishes being presented: Endive Salad | Castle Franco, pomegranate, orange, tarragon vinaigrette -w- Descendant Cider Pomegranate “Pommes des Terre” | Yukon Gold lyonnaise, Beluga lentils, apples -w- Farnum Hill Dooryard Mushroom Pyramid Ravioli | Chanterelles, mushroom consommé, parsnip puree -w- Eve’s Cidery Sow the Seeds Cheese Course -w- Virtue Cider Lapinette Firkin, Millstone Cellars Hopvine Aebleskiver | Caramel, crème anglaise -w- Eden Heirloom Ice Cider This menu has been developed by TQK’s Chef Kenji Hurlburt, and judging from his other creations, the food on this menu should be pretty kickass. Tickets can be purchased here. The Queens Kickshaw is located at 40-17 Broadway in Astoria.
