We looked at the lineup of participating venus in Queens, and of course The Queens Kickshaw, Astoria’s best source for hard cider, is one of them. One of the coolest things they’re doing for the week is hosting the official debut launch of Descendant Cider, NYC’s first urban cidery. Descendant Cider also happen to be located in Queens, which give them extra awesome points. Descendant’s owners, husband-and-wife cidermakers Jahil and Alex, will be on hand to share their experience of getting set up, and will share a few limited edition bottles, as well. There will also be discount pints throughout the evening, and a chance to taste some samples of ciders to come in the future. Be sure to check out some of TQK’s new fall menu items to go along with that delicious cider, too. No tickets required. The event goes from 9 to 11:30 p.m. The Queens Kickshaw is located at 40-17 Broadway in Astoria.
