A new food pop-up has come to Long Island City…and it looks out of this world.

Daily Spoon, located at 25-34 Jackson Avenue, comes from Chef Tristan Chin-Fatt and Deon Whiskey, who own the popular Destination Dumplings, which has had booths at Gov Ball, Smorgasburg and Mad. Sq. Eats. The two childhood best friends both grew up in Flushing, Queens, and have over 20 years of combined restaurant industry experience.

Chef Tristan always invokes his unique Chinese-Jamaican heritage in his food, of course at Destination Dumpling (their signature Jerk Chicken Dumpling is full of chicken thighs marinated in their own blend of jerk chicken spices and then grilled, and topped pineapple salsa after the dumpling is steamed), and equally now at Daily Spoon.

Some examples of what’s on the menu include a Jerk Chicken Rice Bowl with a far East twist (pictured above); a Korean Beef Rice Bowl with 24-hour-marinated chopped steak, sauteed onions, kimchi, pickled vegetables, chili miso, and sesame seeds; and homemade bao in classic or spicy.

Daily Spoon is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to  5 p.m. Follow them on Insta for more here!
