This new pizza spot has cropped up on 30th Ave up near 50th St. It used to be “Mama Carmela’s,” another pizza place, with similar signing so perhaps it has just changed names.

A luxe eyelash salon called Lash Out Bar recently opened in Astoria. They are accepting new clients, as well as walk-ins with a grand opening special of 20% off a new set..

This is new in the since-shuttered Tierras Columbianas space. It comes from the owners of the restaurant of the same name in Jackson Heights, serving Ecuadorian food. On their website it says the grand opening will be March 6.

More vegetarian options in Astoria! This is a new Chinese takeout place called Veggie Lin Garden on Broadway near 47th/48th St. that serves all vegetarian options. Find out more on their website here.

Closings
Dave’s Shoes

This shoe store seems to have been on the corner and Broadway and 35th St. forever, but signs went up that it is for sale. Not sure if they are selling just the space or the entire business (I believe the laundromat next door is owned by the same people).
34-19 Broadway
Rumors/Coming Soon

The old Adriaen Block CBD-bar space now has signage up for more Greek: Niko’s Souvlaki. Another local restaurateur told us the owner is a billionaire with many other restaurants in the city.

We shared signs for a new Kinship coffee near Astoria Park a little while back, and now we’ve heard that it’s actually going to be a roastery location! Stay tuned for more.
45-02 Ditmars Blvd

The old Chase Bank space on Broadway has had work permits in for the first time in years, and one reader was able to ask what was going to be in the space while they were doing construction: apparently a spa!
32-12 Broadway

We noticed this sign go up on 31st Ave…they have an Instagram that doesn’t reveal much, but we’ve reached out for more details!
35-07 31st Ave

You may know that Murray’s Cheese special “cheese cave” is already in LIC, but it appears they are expanding with a cafe, market and more in the surrounding area. We can’t wait to have this Bleeker St. favorite close by!

We heard from a source that 2DIVE4 will be under new management and rebranded with a new name, menu and design. More to come…
33-10 36th Ave
Truly excited for Murray’s…. I love cheese!
For Kinship Coffee on Ditmars Blvd the picture showing is from a building on 21st Street & 24th Ave. Is the new Kinship actually opening on the west or east side of Ditmars Blvd? Thanks for the awesome info.
Any talks of Jersey Mike’s or Chick Fil-A coming to Astoria?
Just noticed this sign the other day so no idea how ling it’s been up there but looks like a Colombian bakery will be opening in the empty store next to Petey’s Burgers on 30th ave and 31st st. Called Parceros Bakery. Any news on that?
Any news on Burgerim on Broadway. When will they open
could be never… Burgerim as a company is corrupt and basically bankrupt – the owner of the whole chain fled to Israel to avoid going to jail.
