With Fourth of July next week, fireworks are surely on the brain.

And luckily, as is tradition, Astoria Park is kicking things off with an amazing fireworks show that is arguably the borough’s best fireworks display of the year! It is also the 35th Anniversary of the show.

Tonight, June 27 at 7:30 p.m. the fireworks ceremonies will start, featuring a special performance by the Queens Symphony Orchestra, while the Fireworks show will begin at sundown around 9 p.m.

The show can be seen from virtually any part of the north end of the East River and upper East Side of Manhattan.

Astoria Park Alliance partners with organizers Central Astoria Local Development Corporation throughout the year, and encourages visitors to visit their event page.

This honestly was the best I’ve ever seen, and I lived in Astoria for over 50 years before moving to Flushing. This was the longest and most varied display I ever saw and spelling out 35 in fireworks was amazing.
