Uncle Jack’s Meat House may be open in August 2017.

Following up on our recent rumors and news post, looks like Uncle Jack’s Meat House is truly getting closer to opening. They are hiring staff right now, and according to a local source, the restaurant is, “hoping to be open In August; training of staff to commence soon.” Here are a couple of pictures of the interior:
Update: we’ve heard from the PR folks who indicate menu changes are in the works. We’ll direct you to those when they’re available.
Aside from that, previous reports indicate that they will focus on seasonal ingredients and they’ll change up the menu from time to time. From what we understand, the password protected speakeasy/VIP room is still in the works.
So there you have it—we’ll see the newest restaurant resident on Ditmars soon!

Some friends and I walked by in mid-September and the owner happened to be out front and we struck up a conversation with him. He told us they hoped to be open by the end of the month and being that it is now an entirely different month that of course didn’t happen. I’m assuming that they’re not going to be open until closer to the end of the year.
Any updates? I’m having a hard time this place is ever actually going to open – it’s all taking an implausibly long amount of time.
