It takes place on Tuesday, May 23, from 6:30-8:30pm (5:30pm for VIP ticket holders) at the same location as in past years—Queens Boulevard and 46th Street, under the 7 train in Sunnyside. Tickets are $40 general, $70 VIP. Having attended in the past, I will say that the VIP tickets are pretty nice. You get to enter the event (AKA start eating and drinking) an hour early at 5:30pm, which makes maneuvering through the vendors much easier than when it gets more crowded later on. We’ve been told that tickets sold out ahead of time last year, and there are no tickets at the door. Here’s who you can expect as far as food goes next Tuesday: 43 Bar and Grill (Irish American Pub) Arriba Arriba (Mexican) Bliss 46 Bistro (French) Bliss Street Creamery (Small batch ice cream) Boon by Moldova (Moldovan/Romanian) Coffee Tossy (cafe drinks and sweet treats) Dayboat (Peruvian/Ceviche) Dazies Restaurant (Italian) De Mole (Mexican) I Love Paraguay (Paraguayan) Ida’s Nearabout (American) Jack’s Fire Department (Pub) Los Verdes (Colombian) Lowery Bar and Kitchen (New American) Mangal Kebab (Turkish) Sidetracks (Irish American Pub) Soleluna (Italian) Tibetan Dumpling Cafe (Tibetan) Tito Rad’s (Filipino) And here are the drink/beverage vendors: Big aLICe Brewing Queens Brewery Manhattan Beer Distributors Palm Bay International wine distributors Lowery Wines and Liquors Voss Water Green Valley Market of Sunnyside (non-alcoholic) There will be live music performances by The Afro Latineers and The Underground Horns. And don’t forget the raffle that is held each year! You can purchase tickets both online and at the event. Tickets are $4—here are the prizes: Two Roundtrip JetBlue tickets (US only) A pair of tickets to Thalia Spanish Theater’s Annual Tango Production Tickets to The Chocolate Factory Theater 1 year YMCA family membership (city wide) 2 $25 gift certificates at Cooldown Juice 6 General Admission passes to the Museum of the Moving Image A stay-cation package at the Z Hotel So get your tickets today—it’s a great time, with delicious food and drink, and a nice way to get to know the restaurant scene in Sunnyside.
