If you’ve been reading We Heart Astoria for any amount of time, you know we are big fans of the work of the award-winning Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC)—work the New York Times calls “Adventurous theater in Astoria.” And like a lot of small arts organizations, fundraising is part of their annual work—it’s a chance for them to highlight their accomplishments, showcase their artists from the current season, and an opportunity for the organization’s fan to support their work aside from ticket sales.

This year their annual benefit, titled Homecoming, takes place on Monday, March 20 at
6:30pm at the Paper Factory Hotel. It will be a festive evening celebrating APAC’s productions and programs. The benefit celebration will include cocktails, dinner, dancing, and a raffle drawing, plus they will present a sneak peek of APAC’s 16th season spring musical, Raisin (the musical will premiere May 2017 with a limited engagement in New York City after more than 40 years).

Benefit tickets begin at $80 and are available here. Big thanks to Kaufman Astoria Studios for their sponsorship, too. APAC encourages benefit attendees are to wear their best festive attire! We hope to see you there!
