Via Yelp As you may be aware, 30th Avenue restaurant MexiBBQ has closed their doors. Many of our readers were big fans of this place (they had a nice bottomless brunch, too) and it was always a contender in our reader-driven Best of Astoria competition. However, even though they are closed now, they are not gone. They have a new concept up their sleeve—here’s their announcement on their website: To Our Valued Friends & Customers, After 6 great years, Mexi BBQ has closed its doors. We want to thank you all for your patronage and making us one of the premier ‘go to ” places in Astoria. We have had an amazing time being part of your birthday celebrations, burger and beer Mondays and of course your hangover brunch. So for all of our staff we say a VERY BIG THANK YOU!!! We will be closing for a short time while we regroup but please stay tuned as we have more tricks up our sleeve! Happy Holidays & See You In 2017! We’ve reached out to MexiBBQ for comment and will bring you more details as we have them. And as we like to ask in these situations, what would you like to see MexiBBQ become?
