Local filmmakers, take note! Signups for the 13th installment of The Sparrow Film Project will take place on March 20 at The Sparrow Tavern.

Here’s what the night will entail:

Registration will begin at 9pm, and close at at midnight. At this time, the assignment will be announced and teams who are present may draw their specific details. For those unavailable to attend or stay throughout the night, their assignments will be randomly selected and sent to the team contact via email on March 21. Entry fee is $20 per team in cash, $25 when paid online. Online registration can be completed via sparrowfilmproject.com

Here’s a brief history of the project:

The Sparrow Film Project is a short film competition where participants are given three weeks to complete a three minute film with an assignment chosen at random. Assignment details are announced at Midnight on the signup date, assignments are sent out, and participants have three weeks to submit their film. Submissions are reviewed by a panel of judges, and the nominated films will be screened with trophies and prizes for the winners at an awards Gala.
