There’s been a lot of curiosity and chatter about what’s going to go into the old Blvd Bar space—which was the bar Stini Yiamas in an earlier iteration. We’ve learned that yet another bar is opening up there, called The Ditty. Yes, we believe “The Ditty” refers to a sometimes-used nickname for Ditmars Blvd. Check out these guys who are really into said diminutive. Aside: have you ever called Ditmars “the ditty”? We are dying to know.
According to a recent Craigslist post, The Ditty (also known as “The Beast of the East”) will offer cocktails, wine, beer, and food, and are looking for bartenders and servers who are really into those things, as well as the hospitality industry. As to when they are opening, we’ve reached out to the owners and hope to have that for you soon.

Aw. I miss Stini Yiamas. Love trying new places though. In 10+ years in the area, have never heard “the Ditty”!

Never heard the Ditty reference. When I open my own bar off Ditmars, it’s getting named Nancy Changeover.
