Astoria Resident to Appear as Guest on Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris (They Also Had Brunch)

Kristy Whitwell, long time Astoria fan and more recently a permanent resident, was chosen to appear as a guest on Neil Patrick Harris’ new show, The Best Time Ever, which is being shot at Astoria Kauffman studios.

She applied to be a contestant after reading about the show when we posted about the filming happening in our hood earlier this month. (You’re very welcome, Kristy!)

“My husband and I both got a callback and did screen tests, but only I passed,” Kristy told us chuckling. In addition to being a contestant on the show, she also had brunch next to him and his family. Yes, feel free to squeal with jealousy. We did, too.

Kristy recently moved to Astoria in part due to her new role as community manager at SPACES, a coworking space launching in Long Island City this fall.

The show is a mix of live and taped segments and will be shooting in the neighborhood a lot over the next few weeks, so be on the lookout!
