Recent Openings On Broadway- Bagels, Brunch, Ice Cream, & More!

A quick trip down Broadway from 31st st to Crescent will yield you so many changes these days.  Here’s a brief update of what we’ve seen:

The formerly kinda dumpy Lots O Bagels got a really hip update (hex tiles! marquee lights! industrial chairs!) and re-opened to the public yesterday. (3005 Broadway Ave | 718.267.7777)

We chatted with Freddy, owner of King Of Falafel, and he let us know their gut renovation of the former Chirping Chicken is well underway and their new storefront should be open later this fall, with a slightly expanded menu. (30-15 Broadway | no phone yet)

We also noticed this non chant ice cream parlor that just opened this week near Broadway & Crescent. Word on the street is they have 20 flavors of gelato. Has anyone tried it? (25-11 Broadway | no phone yet) 

And last, but certainly not least, our beloved Sanford’s finally got new awnings and looks oh-so-close to re-opening. We spoke with some of the staff, and they indicated it could be open within the next week or two. PS- they’re hiring! (30-13 Broadway | 718.932.9569)
