Burnside Biscuits Opens Monday, July 13th at 5pm

It’s official kids, Burnside Biscuits opens Monday at 5pm, according to their Facebook page. For those of you who haven’t seen our non-stop coverage of this 30th Avenue newcomer, here’s a quick recap.

Good news- for those who don’t want a duck fat biscuit (and I count myself among you), just as for an ‘all butter biscuit’ and they’ll gladly whip up a veggie version for you. Vegans, sorry, but for now they don’t have a dairy-free option.

The Burning Questions:

• There is plenty of vegetarian fare at Burnside. We ALL raved about this Roasted Broccoli (as seen above), which is presented as a whole stalk and tastes unlike anything we’ve had before. The veg biscuit (discussed above), and Pimento Mac & Cheese were all standouts.
• Delivery is on the horizon, but won’t be available right away.
• Ditto breakfast. Management tells us they’re open to doing coffee & biscuit sandwiches, but that won’t come online for awhile yet.
• While they’ve been approved for outdoor seating, they won’t have it ready when they open Monday. They’re actually waiting for chairs- which if they’re as good as the ones indoor- might be worth waiting for.
• You might be able to host a special event at Burnside. They’ve told us they’re looking into possible event spaces within their rather large establishment.
