Five years ago three fabulous Astoria-loving bloggers started We Heart Astoria. When I moved into the neighborhood (4 years ago) I stumbled across this blog, and it connected me to the neighborhood in the best way possible. I learned about new arrivals, neighborhood gossip, and the best places to eat and drink.

In celebration of We Heart Astoria’s big birthday, some of our friends have created some special items available from now until mid-May.

View from Hellgate at Sekend Sun

2014 Best New Arrival nominee, Sekend Sun, has mixed up a fantastic cocktail celebrating our love (or heart) of Astoria. Called the View from Hell Gate, this drink is made with Rock ‘n Rye, Amaro, pineapple juice, ginger, lime, and is finally topped with Ginger Ale.
