Local theater adds to the character of our neighborhood and is an important addition to the cultural fabric of the area. April 30th they’ll be debuting their newest production, Merrily We Roll Along, and today artistic director Dev Bondarin is bringing us her awesome reasons you gotta see this show. We have wonderful performers on stage for this show. Meet them here and them come see them in their all glory. 2. Genius music. Everyone from Frank Sinatra to Adam Pascal (of B’way’s RENT) has recorded songs from Stephen Sondheim’s score. Come and hear them in their original form! 3. A feast for the eyes. Astoria Performing Arts Center is known for its high production values and this show will be no different. Featuring a beautiful sets, lights, and costumes that span 20 years of fashion, there’s a lot to see! 4. Location, Location, Location. APAC is located on Crescent Street and 30th Road close to some of the best places to eat in the Astoria. Have a great meal and then stroll on over to the theater! 5. Great show. Merrily We Roll Alongis a tremendous piece of musical theater. Based on a Kaufman and Hart play of the same name, the story is told backwards. We start at the end and end in the beginning seeing how the characters lives evolved over time. This allows audience members to dig into the story while also investigating their own journeys.
