Rihanna Was In Astoria For the Miyake Mugler Ball This Weekend

Aside from the movie and television industry, from time to time superstars come to Astoria—case in point, Rihanna was here Saturday night! She made a surprise appearance at the Miyake Mugler Ball that took place at the Melrose Ballroom (36-08 33rd St). Radio.com reported in:

The stage of the Miyake Mugler Ball, held last night (Nov. 9) in Astoria, Queens, is usually reserved for fashion forward costumes worn by dancers voguing their hearts out. But this year, one particular pop diamond took a turn on the stage, by demand. Rihanna made a surprise appearance at the event, and, when the crowd insisted by chanting her name, she took a turn of her own on the stage.

One of the reasons she was here was to celebrate the House of Mugler’s 25th anniversary.
