We Heart This Event: Astoria Flea & Food Opens This Sunday!

**UPDATE: We just learned that people will be able to enter 36th Street through 34th and 35th Avenues- a big change since the street was demapped last year. The 35th Avenue side will be all food (about 40 vendors) and the 34th Avenue side will be all flea (about 50 vendors).**

It’s sort of a no-brainer that this week’s Event Pick of The Week is the Astoria Flea & Food! The flea will take place on the Kaufman Astoria Studios backlot—that de-mapped block of 36th Street between 34th and 35th Avenues. It launches this Sunday, May 4, and will be present for eight consecutive weekends. Look for a lot of the same sort of things the LIC Flea does well—jewelry, art, crafts, clothes, antiques, and of course the food vendors.
