We Heart The New York Cares Coat Drive in Astoria

The annual New York Cares Coat Drive will hosted in Astoria by State Senator Gianaris, Assemblywoman Simotas, Assemblyman DenDekker, and City Councilman Constantinides.

We received this news that the annual New York Cares Coat Drive is hosted here in Astoria by a team of elected officials—State Senator Michael Gianaris, Assemblywoman Aravella Simotas, Assemblyman Michael DenDekker, and our new City Councilman Costa Constantinides. Read on for more info—last day to donate coats in Astoria is Wednesday, February 5.

We are proud to announce that we will be hosting a coat drive with State Senator Michael Gianaris, Assemblywoman Aravella Simotas and Assemblyman Michael DenDekker in collaboration with New York Cares. The coats will be donated to people in need across the entire city. Bring your lightly used winter coat to the District Office locations listed below from Monday through Friday.

It is important during this cold season that we provide help to those in need. It’s an honor to work with a great organization like New York Cares. My colleagues in the state government and I look forward to collecting warm coats for those who need it most.

“During this particularly cold and snowy winter, those that can should help those that need,” said Assemblyman DenDekker. “One way is by donating gently used, clean winter coats. I know there is a shortage of coats this year and I thank our Council Member Costa Constantinides for setting this drive up.”
