I drink my coffee black, and I LOVE the hit of caffeine it gives me — and the smell!

TQK is one of my favorite places in in the ‘hood. I live two blocks from there and this has become my haven of relaxation and awesome comfort food/drink for the last year.

Amy E.

Everything about coffee is great, the aroma, the taste, the caffeine, and it complements pastries so well!

Wan Hang Lee

The smell of coffee, without which drinking coffee would be completely different.

OMG, I haven’t tried this place yet but they make CORTADOS!!! Yum.

I love the combination of the foam on steamed milk and espresso and a little sprinkle of sugar in the raw. Yum. One of my favorite things on the planet. I love waking up and having the ritual of preparation of coffee in my french press while feeding my little boy and getting us both ready for our days. mmm. coffee. mmm free GOOD coffee. Yea, free good coffee in ASTORIA!

Coffee is how I blackmail myself to get up for work in the morning! And then make it throw the day to get cozy with a cup in hand..

I know most people feel more awake when they drink coffee, but I just love the smell and the taste!

You make me a better person. More spirited, more creative, more interesting, more ALIVE! Yes, you have ensnared me in your roasted and brewed web of dependency…but what a sweet, sweet, smelling web it is. For were you to release me – I know not what I’d do.

Daniel R.

I like a good sweet cup with a little foam. No need for chocolate or cinnamon. Simple is best.

Emily Rios

Waking up with a good cup and the smell are what keep me sipping all day.

I love a freshly brewed cup of coffee, and sitting at the counter and savoring every last drop! Especially at Kickshaw because their coffee is amazing!

The aroma filling the air as the coffee brews is almost as great as the actual drinking of the coffee

I drink my coffee/espresso black and as a small female I like the sudden shock and respect I get every time I order it that way.

I love how a cup of coffee makes me feel like I’m allowed to take five minutes out of a busy day, wrap my hands around the mug, and just sip away.

I love the morning routine my boyfriend and I have around coffee. Wake up, brew, sit and talk before the hectic day starts.

the best thing about coffee is the kick of caffeine it gives you in the morning

I love that it is often a mental and physical way to make me feel better. Nothing like a queens Kickshaw. Cappaccino on a cold, rainy day!

It’s both a personal and communal experience with each cup. And the feeling deep in your body when the caffeine starts to take hold tossing you into a place of total happiness. YUM!

I love when someone hands you a cup off coffee they prepared just for you. Have a merry and a bright!

My love for coffee is endless. I start (and often end) each day with a cup of coffee. A great day has a cup or two in the middle shared with friends or family. A cup of coffee can be the warmth I need to get through the day, or the iced chill to wake up and greet the day! I love supporting coffee stops and shops from the biggest to the smallest, I love to sample the flavors and aromas from around the world. And to be honest, I love the cups, mugs & travel tumblers of every single shape and size. ..and now, I think it’s time for another cup!

My favorite part about coffee is the smell! The smell of coffee brewing is the best way to start the day.

Steph M.

What’s not to love about coffee? I can’t start my day without it – I need it to wake me up!

Amazing range of flavors, all depending on the bean and the roast.

(Is it bad that I’m only entering the booze and coffee giveaways?)

Warms you up from the inside on a cold day. Or, in the case of the most amazing iced lattes at Queens Kickshaw, keeps you cool on a hot one!

I find a well-made cup of coffee to be very comforting. It helps me to de-stress.

Coffee is the needed jolt in the morning mad dash, the bringing together of friends and family for a brief moment of repose in a busy holiday season, and the warmer-upper during wet and snowy weather .

Hmm, I think what I like most is the smell and the warmth in the morning. The caffeine doesn’t hit me like it used to but it’s still great in the morning

Lisa H.

I love how it signifies the beginning of each new day…and the taste, and the smell, and everything else about it. Especially if it’s from Queens Kickshaw!

Coffee. Where to begin? Warm, awakening goodness. Either hot or cold, with or without milk. Coffee goes with many breakfast items and, to my shock and awe, even with grilled cheese sandwiches.

Maria Lauron-Castro

The smell, the taste, the warm, fuzzy feeling you get inside your tummy when you take your first sip!

Steph S

I love that quick-shot of caffiene to start my day – can’t imagine not having coffee to wake me up in the morning.

I love its ability to take me from slack-jawed zombie to bright-eyed, focused worker in 30 minutes or less!

Stephanie L.

Their coffee is creamy with just the right amount of bitterness. Wakes you up too!

What I love most about coffee is probably the aroma. What I love about the Queens Kickshaw is that their coffee selection is as good as their beers & ciders!

What I love about coffee is how it brings people together. The idea of “grabbing coffee” is casual enough to ask an attractive stranger, or an old friend you want to catch up with. Plus, it’s delicious and energizing!
