It’s baaack! We Heart Astoria’s 3rd annual 12 Days of Giveaways promotion starts now with an amazing prize from our friends at Ovelia.  For those of you who haven’t yet been, Ovelia is one of our Greek modern favorites, as they take traditional Greek fare and flip it upside the head.  Think fried feta cubes in sesame seed batter, drizzled with honey; extra spicy kafteri dip; a “lamburgini” burger with the works, and more.

Today’s prize is an exciting Dinner for 2 at Ovelia during their Rock ‘n Ribs night, which happens every Wednesday.  What can you expect?  Comforting dishes such as BBQ ribs (full or half racks), buttermilk fried chicken , corn dog buttons, kafteri poppers…umm, need we say more?

How to enter: Leave us a comment and tell us your favorite BBQ dish and/or what you’re excited to try at Ovelia specifically.  You can enter between now and Wednesday, 12/12.  A winner will be chosen at random and announced on Thursday, 12/13.  Good luck and stay tuned for our other giveaways, each day this week.

If I win I will take my Mom. Ribs are her favorite thing to it. Would be excited to try Ovelia ribs.

As many before me have said..mmmmm pulled pork. Ovelia is an Astoria staple and I have been many many times. This Giveaway would be the perfect opportunity to try out their BBQ!!!

I love brunch at Ovelia but have never had their BBQ!! Ribs and pulled pork sounds delicious!

Daniel Rios

Can’t wait to try the ribs, the everyday menu is fantastic and the service was excellent the last time we went.

How do i pronounce this?
ORTEKIA PSITA plump quail seasoned and

That’s what i wanna try. Mmm. Quail.

I am a huge fan of barbecue (i’m Brazilian and we certainly appreciate some grilled meat). I haven’t been in Ovelia for a while and would love to experience their bbq night!

The Hummus, Mousaka and Olive Brine Pork was delicious when my husband and I tried out the restaurant several months ago….but now BBQ!! That sounds delicious!!! Of course if we win, we would HAVE to at least try out the Greek style, pulled pork sandwich!! It IS a Greek restaurant after all!!

I’ve lived in Astoria for 4 years and have never made it to Ovelia! The Rock N’Rib night seems like a great time to try it out. I woud def. try out the ribs!

Steph S

Been to Ovelia many times, but never for Rock n Ribs night! Would love to try Ovelia’s spin on Ribs! mmmmm…

Just let me at the brisket and anything, prepared anyway, that combines a pasta with a rich cheese sauce. That’s as close to heaven as I will ever get!

Mike S

Well that’s easy.. you order the mac & cheese and put it on the pulled pork sandwich. That would be the intelligent thing to do.

I’ve lived in Astoria for 8yrs and enjoy dining at Ovelia. I’ve been want to go the bbq night for a little while, being from Memphis a gal can never get enough bbq.

Mmm, I love a good mac and cheese at BBQ joints usually, so I’d have to say that if Ovelia had that, I’d be all over it.

I usually love all the sides that go with a BBQ dinner; most excited to try Ovelia’s fried chicken

As a Kansas girl, I love ribs, KC style. Ovelia is great because my nut-allergic boyfriend has many many options!

Because, amazingly, I’ve never been to Ovelia before. I’m also curious to see what veggie options are available on Rock n’ Ribs night!
