Astoria Arrivals: Bear

We reported a few weeks back about a new Astoria (or is it LIC?) restaurant Bear. Now we have word they’ll be opening in early November! I’m totally intruiged about what I see on their website:

The restaurant will serve gourmet lunch, dinner, and brunch, and the bar will serve gourmet snacks and cocktails, along with a choice of fine wines and liquors. BEAR will offer its guests comfortable seats in the dining room and bar.  The interior will feature walls tiled in glistening glass, custom made furniture, and lamps adorned by Swarovski crystals.  The bar will feature a row of sleek swivel stools with comfortable backs and an elegant dark counter that leads into an open kitchen where guests can catch a glimpse of the Executive Chef.

What menu items are you excited for? I personally can’t wait for their take on gnocchi with brown butter sage sauce.
