Wednesday night, April 7, Democracy for New York City (DFNYC) presents their monthly Linkup, which will be in the form of a candidate forum in Astoria. Candidates running during the upcoming Democratic primary for the 36th Assembly District have been invited. They are: Jeremiah Frei-Pearson (confirmed), http://jeremiahfp.org/ Aravella Simotas (not confirmed), http://www.aravellasimotas.com/ The 36th district is comprised of mainly parts of Astoria. The event takes place on Wednesday, April 7th, from 7-8:30pm at the Greater Astoria Historical Society, Quinn Building, 35-20 Broadway, 4th Floor, Astoria. The 36th district is being vacated by Assemblymember Mike Gianaris, who is running for the State Senate seat currently held by George Onorato, who is retiring.
