Happy National Grilled Cheese Day

It’s National Grilled Cheese day today, did you know? Any excuse to have a delicious, gooey grilled cheese sandwich is totally fine by us.  Here we’re highlighting our favorites, made by the masters at The Queens Kickshaw.  What are you favorite grilled cheese sandwiches in the nabe? We’d love to know!

Mmmm…the Great Hill Blue grilled cheese is pretty magical and contains slivers of crunchy pears, sharp blue cheese, pickled blueberries on earthy cranberry walnut bread.  It’s like a savory dish and a dessert rolled into one!

This Gouda is their big grilled cheese winner, as featured on CBS’s 7 Most Creative Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, and we love it.  A most unusual combination of black bean hummus, guava jam and pickled jalapenos makes this a sophisticated and comforting dish.

And who doesn’t love a good grilled cheese for breakfast? This one includes eggs as well and a decadent, crispy parmesan crust.  I love picking the excess cheese pieces from this sandwich and savoring each bite.
