Astoria Symphony Celebrates Triumphant Love!

This Saturday marks the end of this current musical season for the Astoria Symphony.  Their final concert of the year features an evening of music inspired by triumphant love in a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Romeo & Juliet Fantasy Overture and Hanson’s Romantic Symphony.

The Frank Sinatra School of the Arts Orchestra, under the direction of Ken Lieberson, will join the Astoria Symphony for the finale, including excerpts by Shostakovich, Bizet, and Stravinsky.

Be sure to arrive by 7:30pm for a talk led by Silas Huff, director of the Symphony.  Learn about the lives of the composers, the meaning of the music, and the techniques musicians use to bring music to life.

This concert is free for kids and FSSA students!
