Bachata Rosa Lounge Soft Opening is Now

WHA tipster Josh M has been curious about the new “eating and drinking establishment” setting up shop at 24-03 41st Avenue and now we know what’s there, thanks to the helpful photos he snapped and sent along—Bachata Rosa Lounge is the name. They’ve been in process since permits were approved in 2014! Glad to see they got through all the city hoops and are open for business.

They are in their soft opening phase right now and their menu looks like it’s pulling from all sorts of cultures: Dominican (mofonguitos), Mexican (guacamole), American (wings, burger), Argentinian (skirt steak with chimichurri), Italian (burrata), and Spanish (Spain), just to name a handful. They also offer oysters cooked and raw.

The space, located on the ground floor of an old brick apartment building, used to be home to a restaurant called Latin Corner. As you can see, the exterior looks much more modern—you can see another photo here on the LIC Court Square blog.

It’s a well-situated location, very convenient to the Queensboro Plaza N/W/7, with neighbors like Birch Coffee, Oro, RESOBOX, and The Baroness. It’s also close to Brooklyn Boulders; perhaps it will be a convenient place for climbers to stop by after a workout. Hours right now are noon to 9pm.
