As a culinary professional and Astoria resident – I would love to attend this prestigious James Beard Foundation event to check out and support fellow Queens talent. As a pregnant soon-to-be mom who recently left her kitchen job to go on maternity leave – I would love to attend to devour all the delicious food!!

JBF dinners are prestigious events attended by the elitest of elite foodies in NYC. I’ve had my eye on trying to find a JBF dinner that I was passionate about. Being a Queens enthusiast, I would love to win these tickets to see what Queens greats bring to the Manhattan spotlight!

The thing I loved most when I moved to Astoria was the food scene!!! My friends and I love going out to eat – this sounds awesome!

Honestly, I would love to surprise my wife with a special date-night away from our 17 month old boy – who is awesome – but could give his momma a much needed break! She’s a ‘foodie’ and would jump out of her skin if we could attend this event together. Thank you for considering us!

This would be a dream come true, I’m a recent transplant to Astoria, an amateur cook, lover of food and of food literature. When I read I was transported back to the world in Ruth Reichl’s Delicious. I would love to be in that world, if only just for an evening.

I think my friends, family, & coworkers are sick of hearing me talk about food in Astoria!

It’s awesome to see Queens get a night at the James Beard house! It’d be great to try food from some of my favorites and from chefs I’ve never had before too! (And the atomosphere of the James Beard house can’t be beat!)

Thanks so much for this great sweepstakes! I just moved to Astoria and have instantly fallen for the community, the food, and the energy here (I should have moved from Manhattan YEARS ago). My wife and I have been exploring the neighborhood (this past Saturday we walked around Astoria Park, went bowling at Astoria Bowl, and capped it off with dinner at Pachanga Patterson).

In addition, September 18th is my birthday!

Astoria is my pride and joy. I absolutely love living there but what I love more is bragging about how amazing the food scene is there. It’s truly incredible and there should be more nights like these celebrating that achievement.
