Astoria Music & Arts is having a busy summer. On Saturday, August 29th , they’ll be throwing their 7th Annual New World Queens Fest, an Astoria Park extravaganza with live music, (…)
Astoria Music & Arts is having a busy summer. On Saturday, August 29th , they’ll be throwing their 7th Annual New World Queens Fest, an Astoria Park extravaganza with live music, art displays, family dance parties, puppet shows, and a pie-eating contest. If you haven’t marked it in your calendar yet, save the date ASAP!
Before the main event, they’ll be holding a unique fundraising event this Saturday, July 25, at The Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York. (22-51 29th Street) The night will feature an eclectic mix of entertainment, including burlesque comedy, punk rock, metal and hip-hop. All of those styles combined, in a Greek community hall? Only in Astoria, folks.
It’s all going down on THIS stage, Saturday from 6-11.
To sweeten the deal, a $20 donation will get you two free drinks. If you’re not interested in getting your drink on, please donate what you can. Performers include:
