Brave storytellers will be taking the stage at the Broom Tree Theatre tonight at 7pm for “The First Time I Ever:” an evening of autobiographical tales focusing on firsts. Whether dishing the details on a tragic first perm or reliving the horrors of a first arrest, the performers will be giving hilarious and heartfelt accounts of what can be chalked up to learning experiences. Tickets are only $5, and BONUS: there will be wine!
The lineup of storytellers includes:
- Terri Mintz (Producer of the hit NY show “Word”)
- Lori Baird (Host, “Talk Therapy Stories” MOTH Winner)
- JD Cerna (GLAAD Media Award Nominee)
- Marc L. Abbot (Writer, “Shelf Life,” WBAI Radio)
- Ann Talman (Member of the Ensemble Studio Theatre)
- Steve Macarus (Member of Chicago’s Theater scene)
- Laura Ware (“Mamma Mia!” National Tour)
The Broom Tree Theatre is a newly renovated 50-seat performance space located at Astoria First Presbyterian Church, (23-35 Broadway) complete with theatre lighting, a sound board, and a gorgeous grand piano.
