Brave storytellers will be taking the stage at the Broom Tree Theatre tonight at 7pm for “The First Time I Ever:” an evening of autobiographical tales focusing on firsts. Whether dishing the details on a tragic first perm or reliving the horrors of a first arrest, the performers will be giving hilarious and heartfelt accounts of what can be chalked up to learning experiences. Tickets are only $5, and BONUS: there will be wine! The lineup of storytellers includes: Terri Mintz (Producer of the hit NY show “Word”) Lori Baird (Host, “Talk Therapy Stories” MOTH Winner) JD Cerna (GLAAD Media Award Nominee) Marc L. Abbot (Writer, “Shelf Life,” WBAI Radio) Ann Talman (Member of the Ensemble Studio Theatre) Steve Macarus (Member of Chicago’s Theater scene) Laura Ware (“Mamma Mia!” National Tour) The Broom Tree Theatre is a newly renovated 50-seat performance space located at Astoria First Presbyterian Church, (23-35 Broadway) complete with theatre lighting, a sound board, and a gorgeous grand piano.
