If you’re like me, you’ve probably listened to the new Carly Rae Jepsen single more times this week than you’d like to admit. (It’s just so catchy.) To take a break from the bubblegum pop, look no further than 30th Avenue!
The Jackson Heights Orchestra will be performing this Sunday, March 8 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church (43-19 30th Ave) at 5:00 p.m. There is no official cover charge, but there is a requested donation of $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. The program will feature works by Holst, Mozart, and Beethoven.
If you miss Sunday’s performance and don’t mind venturing outside Astoria, there will be another chance to catch it Wednesday, March 11 at the Community United Methodist Church in Jackson Heights (81-10 35th Ave) at 7:30 p.m.
