Ovelia Turns 7 Today!

We can’t believe it’s been 7 years since we welcomed Ovelia Psistaria to the neighborhood.  I can clearly remember when they opened and recall the life-changing moussaka and loukomades I had there that very first week with my friend, Margot.  Ahh…the good ol’ days.

Even though Ovelia has gone through a few transformations throughout the years, they’ve always remained true to their core mission of delivering high quality Greek food with traditional roots, but with a modern twist.  The Giannakas family continues to proudly own this quintessential Astoria eatery, and we look forward to what the next 7 years brings ahead.

In honor of their 7th birthday, they’ll be extending some fun specials for the month of December.  We hope you enjoy them and spread the love to others.  Chronia Pola, Ovelia!
