I can clearly remember when they opened and recall the life-changing moussaka and loukomades I had there that very first week with my friend, Margot. Ahh…the good ol’ days. Even though Ovelia has gone through a few transformations throughout the years, they’ve always remained true to their core mission of delivering high quality Greek food with traditional roots, but with a modern twist. The Giannakas family continues to proudly own this quintessential Astoria eatery, and we look forward to what the next 7 years brings ahead.
