Yesterday, Governor Cuomo issued an executive order stating that “all people MUST wear a mask or face covering in public in situations where social distancing is not possible” (for example, on public transportation or a busy sidewalk where you cannot stand six feet apart from others). This includes scarves, bandanas, etc.

If you’re wondering how you can maintain this safety measure, we’ve rounded up some Queens resources that can helpful—including how to make your own! Remember, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) like N95 masks should be reserved for medical workers on the ground fighting the virus daily (if you have any of these, consider donating to Space a Mask, Save a Life).
