A number of markets are happening this Cinco de Mayo weekend. So get out there on this milder weekend and shop, and support local artisans while you’re at it!

Queens-Made Market

New kid on the block, Queens-Made Market launches this weekend. Here’s what they’re all about:

Our mission is to establish and operate a community-supported arts & crafts market that provides an eclectic alternative to the traditional retail and shopping experience, where local artists, artisans and crafters bring their products for a unique show-and-sell experience in a creative and friendly environment for all.

The market takes place Saturday & Sunday, May 5 & 6 from noon to 5pm at Okabaloo #FunArtFaktory, 35-52 32nd Street (Ground FL) in LIC.

Astoria Tiny Market

The Astoria Tiny Market will be Saturday, May 5 at Madame Marie’s (35-15 Broadway) from 2-6pm with cards, treats and gifts for mom (and Cinco de Mayo drink specials at the bar). Vendors include gal makers Single Girl Cookies, Chocolate Dances, WidyCat Art, Cork Buds, Panchita’s Bodega and Lather On. Here’s their Facebook event.

Queens Craft Brigade

Queens will be on May 6 at the VFH (31-35 41st Street) from noon-5pm. Vendors include Flattops, Grl Supply, Caryn Cast, Unified Queens, 34th street designs, Hellgate Farm and more. Here’s their Facebook event.
