We recently became away of Hendu’s, a brief popup eatery at LIC’s Dutch Kills Bar. It’s only going to be operating until Friday, December 23. They serve hot sandwiches out of a window installed where there was at one point a sign indicating Blissville Kitchen, who used to provide the food for Dutch Kills (M Wells does it now. Sandwiches are offered “till close”—from their Instagram account, the times they are open range from 11am-2pm, “open till 4,” and also 5pm-2am. So check on their Instagram or Twitter accounts for updates on timing.

Also, you gotta knock on the window to get the attention of the folks making the sandwiches.

Hendu’s is named after ICC grad Bill Henderson. At Hendu’s he’s offering four sandwiches and some drinks. Sandwiches are served on a seeded Bastone roll.

  • Roast beef + gravy + horseradish
  • Roast turkey + gravy
  • Beer braised pork + fennel + apple
  • Roasted beets + walnut + goat cheese

Hot coffee from Oslo Roasters, cold soda, liter of water are all $2.

So head on over and check them out. From what we can tell, it’s looking pretty delicious over there.
