Sac’s as the best Astoria restaurant? Their pizza is good, but for a coal fired oven the crust is never crisp, always floppy. Bareburger sucks. It’s the most overrated place to come around in the last 5+ years. Their success is confounding to me. I’ve never had a good burger there. Burger club exceeds them in every way (except for making completely unverifiable claims about everything being organic). Reply Funky Murmaid May 23rd, 2016 Some of y’all need to relax. These are all fine places. Some are my faves, some are not. I go where I like, and you should, too. But feel free to tell us other places you enjoy without shitting on the winners of this arbitrary poll. We all love Astoria. Reply Emily May 11th, 2016 Space? this salon is a disaster… Reply Dorkazoid May 10th, 2016 I was born and raised in Astoria. Are you joking me with these choices? Reply Shawn May 10th, 2016 Wow, I had no idea my neighbors had such mediocre taste. How are Queens Kickshaw, Gregory’s 26 Corner taverna, Petey’s, Mar’s, Chela y Garnacha, and Vesta not on this list anywhere? Sac’s is pretty good but nowhere near as good as Milkflower or Antika. Bareburger has almost never actually cooked my meat to the temperature I ordered. I’m disappointed Astoria. Reply Mackenzi Farquer May 10th, 2016 Many of the ones you mentioned made it to the nomination round, and are all great local spots Astorians love. Reply christopher cummings May 10th, 2016 I agree, very surprised at some of these, I guess this shows how many people have moved here that don’t know the real places. Reply Jordan May 10th, 2016 The best local Instagram has a typo it’s @astoryofastoria Reply Mackenzi Farquer May 10th, 2016 Thanks! On it.
