Lockwood Shop Queens Museum Opens April 10th!

It’s quite the action packed week around here! First, We Heart Astoria gets this awesome facelift, and now my other love, Lockwood is expanding. Transparency alert: as most of you know in addition to my WHA duties, I’m also the owner of Lockwood. Now, onto some breaking news! -Mackenzi

Hey Astoria, want to hear some awesome news first before anyone else? Totes. Astoria based lifestyle store, Lockwood, is opening in the Queens Museum on April 10th, and you’re all invited. Perhaps best known for the Panorama and powerful contemporary art exhibitions, the Queens Museum is a major hub in the Queens art scene. Their on-point views of the Unisphere don’t hurt either.

This April, in conjunction with the opening of Queens International 2016 and Hey! Ho! Let’s Go: Ramones and the Birth of Punk, Lockwood Shop will be taking up residence as the official gift shop of the museum. Look for punk themed ephemera, locally designed products by Queens based artists, and a fun, funky collection of NYC inspired items and Queens Museum branded goods.
