Have you heard of the LIC Reading Series? It’s an exciting monthly event that invites three incredible writers to share personal stories about Queens, read from their work, and engage in a fun and informative panel discussion. It’s held at cozy LIC Bar the second Tuesday of every month, and has welcomed talented folks like Matthew Thomas, Saaed Jones, and Sam Lipsyte.

Their March 8 event is extra special, as it features appearances from John Leguizamo (who you likely know from films like Moulin Rouge and Romeo & Juliet,) Mira Jacob, and Tracy O’Neill. Due to the noteworthy lineup and a limited capacity, Astoria Bookshop will be pre-selling the presenters’ books to guarantee seats for attendees. The purchase of one book ensures one seat, and pre-sales will occur until capacity is reached. Jump on this opportunity, because these spots are gonna fly! The books can be pre-ordered from Astoria Bookshop here.

For more information, check out the official Facebook event here. Happy reading and listening!
