Whether you’ve partied into the wee hours of the morning, or went to bed early on New Year’s Eve, having brunch the next day (or in a few hours) is the best way to usher in the new year. Here are some places in Astoria and LIC that offer brunch on the freshest day of the year, New Year’s Day.
Alobar
On New Years Day we’ll have our awesome weekend BRUNCH menu from 11-3pm! Bloody Marys, Mimosas, and some French toast with bacon!

Brick Cafe
Here at the Brick Café we have a couple exciting specials planned for Friday:
In the kitchen we are going to make Shakshuka (a Turkish dish of eggs poached in a spicy tomato sauce with sausage, chicken, and olives), Served with garlic bread. In the bar we will be featuring our “Mugmosas” which are exactly what they sound like—mug sized portions of our homemade mimosas.

Burnside Biscuits
Burnside Biscuits will be open for Special Hangover Brunch on Friday New Years Day from 11-4. They’ll also be offering 1 free “Hair of the Dog Punch” to all guests who order a brunch entree, such as their Chicken N’ Waffles or Huevos Rancheros.
